Challenge
To successfully communicate within business partnerships, the client is required to maintain highly accurate records with 10+ trading partners. This matching process typically required 50+ people more than a month to manage, with a fairly high rate of errors (e.g. missing matches, bad matches).
Solution
The ProfitOptics SmartMatch module was configured and implemented to automate manual matching and to decrease the error rates of this process. The SmartMatch solution is able to take extremely large data sets and perform trillions of atomic operations in a matter of hours to produce potential matches at various levels of confidence. Most importantly however, is the user interface that allows the client to quickly and efficiently work through the potential matches.
Results
The SmartMatch solution reduced a 30-day, 50+ person process down to three days and one person. Concurrently, the results produced a much higher coverage of matches and with an error rate of less than .05%. The system received two global enterprise awards in 2017: 1st place for “Best Use of Analytics”, and 2nd place for “Sky Is the Limit” (best use of technology overall).
