Our platform has a configurable pricing approval workflow where, if a rep has priced an item below the designated “floor” price, the price will be flagged and go into a queue for review. The reviewer (who can be a sales support person, a manager, or a leader) can approve or suggest an alternate price. At this point, the item is sent back to the rep for review before being sent out to the customer. This tool, while still empowering reps to alter pricing, maintains a level of control and approval to ensure order profitability and transparency.
